Microsoft and LEGALFLY, the secure legal AI associate, have announced a collaboration to expand AI across enterprise environments. As part of this collaboration, LEGALFLY will integrate with Microsoft Copilot, enabling legal and compliance professionals to access specialised AI within their existing workflows.

Recognising that these roles require AI tools that are trained specifically for legal tasks, Microsoft is taking a customer-centric approach by collaborating with LEGALFLY to ensure that every department has the AI tools they need, where they need them.

LEGALFLY provides an AI-native workspace for in-house legal, compliance, and procurement teams. The platform automates contract review, aligns documents with internal policies, and provides legal advice.Already integrated with Microsoft Word and SharePoint, LEGALFLY will soon connect with Outlook.

The collaboration reinforces Microsoft’s commitment to embedding AI across all business functions, including legal and compliance. It represents a significant step forward in equipping legal and compliance teams with secure, AI-powered solutions to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks. LEGALFLY is the only legal AI platform that anonymises sensitive data before processing with large language models, preventing exposure of confidential information.

LEGALFLY is now available on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, simplifying procurement and deployment for enterprise customers.

The partnership was announced at the Microsoft AI World Tour in Brussels, where LEGALFLY was the only independent software vendor taking stage. Founded in Summer 2023, LEGALFLY has raised more than €17 million from investors including Notion Capital, Redalpine, and Fortino Capital.

Ruben Miessen, CEO and Co-Founder of LEGALFLY, commented: “This partnership reflects the quality of the LEGALFLY platform and the standards we’ve set for security and usability. It also validates what we’ve long known: delivering AI that's up to the standards of accuracy and privacy lawyers need is difficult, but essential.

Legal and compliance teams are under growing pressure — they’re managing more contracts, tighter deadlines, and increasingly complex risks. They need AI that is secure, reliable, and designed specifically for legal workflows.

LEGALFLY was built to meet that need. By making LEGALFLY available within the tools that legal and compliance teams use most, Word, SharePoint and Outlook, we can lower the barriers to adopting AI to ensure that every enterprise can reap the benefits.”

"We are thrilled to welcome LEGALFLY into our ecosystem. This partnership opens up incredible opportunities to innovate with AI for legal teams, empowering our customers to achieve more. We look forward to a successful collaboration." said Erik Kerkhofs, Western Europe Director at Microsoft.
